Item 5. Fees and Compensation
A. Description of how we are compensated for our advisory services provided to you.
I. Comprehensive Portfolio Management:
Our annual fees for Comprehensive Portfolio Management are based upon a percentage of
assets under management and generally range from 0.50% to 1.50%.

In addition to an investment advisory/management service fee, accounts may incur
transaction costs, retirement plan administration fees, deferred sales charges on mutual
funds initially deposited into the account, and other mutual fund annual expenses as
described in the fund's prospectus, and interest charges on margin loans.
Limited Negotiability of Advisory Fees: Cascade Financial Strategies LLC has established
the aforementioned fee schedule(s); we retain the discretion to negotiate alternative fees on
a client-by-client basis. Client facts, circumstances and needs are considered in determining
the fee schedule. These include the complexity of the client’s situation, assets to be placed
under management, anticipated future additional assets, related accounts, portfolio style,
account composition, reports requested, among other factors. The specific annual fee
schedule is identified in the contract between the adviser and each client. We may group
certain related client accounts for the purposes of determining a lower annualized fee for all
clients involved in the grouping. Discounts, not generally available to our advisory clients,
may be offered to family members and friends of associated persons of our firm.
II. Financial Planning Services:
FINANCIAL PLANNING FEES
Cascade Financial Strategies LLC's Financial Planning fee is determined based on the nature
of the services being provided and the complexity of each client’s circumstances.
All fees are agreed upon prior to entering into a contract with any client. Our Financial
Planning fees are calculated and charged on an hourly basis, or on a fixed fee basis. Hourly
fees range from $250 to $350 per hour. Although the length of time it will take to provide a
Financial Plan will depend on each client's personal situation, we will provide an estimate
for the total hours at the start of the advisory relationship. Our Financial Planning fees that
are calculated and charged on a fixed fee basis, typically ranging from $500 to $2,500,
depending on the specific arrangement reached with the client. We may request a retainer
upon completion of our initial fact-finding session with the client; however, advance
payment will never exceed $500 for work that will not be completed within six months. The
balance is due upon completion of the plan.
Financial Planning Fee Offset: Cascade Financial Strategies LLC reserves the discretion to
reduce or waive the hourly fee and/or the minimum fixed fee if a financial planning client
chooses to engage us for our Portfolio Management Services. Client’s are billed quarterly in
arrears based on actual hours accrued.
III. Consulting Fees:
Our fees for Consulting Services for Pensions/Qualified Plans, individuals, and other entities
are based on a percentage of assets under advisement, according to the following schedule:

Plan sponsors are invoiced in advance at the beginning of each calendar quarter.
ERISA Accounts: This section applies to an account that is a pension, individual retirement
account, or other employee benefit plan governed by the Employee Retirement Income
Security Act of 1974, as amended (“ERISA”) and regulations under the Internal Revenue
Code of 1986 (the “Code”), as amended.
While we are already fiduciaries for all of your advisory accounts under the Investment
Advisers Act of 1940, Cascade Financial Strategies LLC and our advisors are required to
acknowledge the new ERISA Fiduciary status. As such, our firm is subject to specific duties
and obligations under ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code that include among other
things, restrictions concerning certain forms of compensation. To avoid engaging in
prohibited transactions, Cascade Financial Strategies LLC may only charge fees for
investment advice about products for which our firm and/or our related persons do not
receive any commissions or 12b-1 fees, or conversely, investment advice about products
for which our firm and/or our related persons receive commissions or 12b-1 fees.
As a fiduciary, Cascade Financial Strategies complies with the requirement that a fiduciary
performs in the client’s best interests at all times.
Cascade Financial Strategies monitors and identifies any and all potential conflicts of
interest and, if there are any, these are disclosed in this document. This policy is clearly
stated in our Code of Ethics for advisors, as well as our Written Supervisory Manual that all
advisors are familiar with and acknowledge they must abide by these requirements.
