Item 5: Fees and Compensation
A. Fee Schedule
FINANCIAL PLANNING
Our hourly rate for financial planning services is $300. This rate is negotiable. We may offer “flat fee” or “one
price” engagements, such as a $1,500 fee for a financial plan. Otherwise, financial planning services are billed by
the hour. Example: a comprehensive financial planning project for an individual or couple might have an
estimate of 15 hours, which would have a projected cost of $4,500. The estimate is based on the scope and
complexity of the client’s situation. The actual cost is based on the number of hours spent on the project, which
could be more or less than the estimate. When it appears that the actual hours spent may exceed the estimate, we
will notify the client and let them determine how they would like to proceed.
Billable hours include face-to-face meetings, phone calls, analysis, preparation, and substantial follow-up meetings.
Follow-up reminders, emails, and phone calls are not billed.
Generally we request advance payment of approximately 50% of the anticipated project cost prior to commencing
the financial planning engagement. Services are completed and delivered within thirty (30) days contingent upon
timely delivery of all required documentation. If a client’s plan is completed to his or her satisfaction, and the
advance payment has not been fully used, then that unused amount will be refunded to the client at the completion
of the project.
INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT / ADVISORY SERVICES
Our Investment Management and Advisory Services are billed based on a percentage of assets under management
in an account. The fees listed below represent a maximum annual fee per level of assets. Depending on the
manager and solution chosen by the client, fees may be lower than those listed below. The Advisor Fee (our
firm’s fee) is negotiable.

Above $4,000,000 1.20% 0.55% 1.75%
B. Payment of Fees
While the fees are based on an annual percentage of assets under management, they are assessed (deducted from
the client’s account) on a quarterly basis in advance (typically in the first few weeks of the quarter).
For accounts directly managed by DDO Advisory Services, LLC (please see Item 4, Section B, “Investment
Management / Advisory Services”) in a Pershing, LLC brokerage account, the quarterly fees are deducted from
the assets in the client’s account, as authorized by the client in their Investment Advisory Agreement. The fee
deduction is indicated in the client’s account statement and online, under account “Activity”.
For accounts managed by DDO Advisory Services, LLC that are directly held at a mutual fund family, the
firm will invoice the client at the beginning of each quarter. The fees are not deducted directly from these
accounts. As mentioned above, this arrangement (funds directly held at mutual fund family) is currently an
accommodation we make for existing Investment Management / Advisory clients who want us to be the Advisor
on their directly held mutual fund accounts.
For accounts managed by a third party manager (and supervised by DDO Advisory Services, LLC), the
quarterly fees are deducted from the assets in the client’s account, as authorized by the client in the third party
manager’s Investment Advisory Agreement. The fee deduction is indicated in the client’s quarterly account
statement and online, in account “Activity”.
C. Clients Are Responsible For Third Party Fees
Custodians may charge transaction fees for the purchase or sale of mutual funds. They may also charge an annual
custodial fee for the account, and in the case of exchange traded fund (ETF) accounts (in third party manager
accounts), there may also be an “asset-based” fee, which is a percentage of Assets Under Management in the
ETF, paid by the client to the custodian.
Mutual funds and ETFs both have underlying expenses, generally represented as an annual “expense ratio”. The
expense ratio may include a management fee for the investment managers of the mutual fund or ETF. The mutual
fund expense ratio may also include fees for transaction charges incurred when the fund manager buys or sells
securities within the fund. They may also charge other fees that are disclosed in the fund prospectus document.
Clients are solely responsible for the fees described above, which are in addition to the Investment
Management/Advisory fees that the client pays to DDO Advisory Services, LLC.
We disclose and explain all of the fees discussed above to clients when their accounts are established.
Please see Item 12, Brokerage Practices.
D. Prepayment of Fees
While the fees are based on a percentage of assets under management, they are assessed (deducted from the
client’s account) on a quarterly basis in advance (typically at the beginning of the quarter).
If a client closes, transfers, or terminates their account, they will receive a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of
the quarter for which they have been paid. This amount is calculated based on the number of days remaining in
the quarter divided by the total days in the quarter to determine the amount of the fee that is to be returned.
