We are a publicly traded Delaware master limited partnership. Our common units trade on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the symbol TCP. We were formed by TC Energy and its subsidiaries in 1998 to acquire, own and participate in the management of energy infrastructure businesses in North America. Our pipeline systems transport natural gas in the U.S. We are managed by our General Partner, which is an indirect, wholly-owned subsidiary of TC Energy. At December 31, 2019, subsidiaries of TC Energy own approximately 24 percent of our common units, 100 percent of our Class B units, 100 percent of our incentive distribution rights (IDRs) and hold a two percent general partner interest in us.
