Item 5: Fees and Compensation
Please note, unless a Client has received the firm’s Disclosure Brochure at least 48 hours prior to signing
the investment advisory contract, the investment advisory contract may be terminated by the Client
within five (5) business days of signing the contract without incurring any advisory fees. How we are paid
depends on the type of advisory service we are performing. Please review the fee and compensation
information below.
Investment Management and Employee Benefit Plan Services
Our standard advisory fee is based on the market value of the assets under management and is calculated as
follows:
Account Value Annual Advisory Fee
$0 - $1,000,000 2.25%
$1,000,001 - $2,500,000 2.00%
$2,500,001 - $5,000,000 1.75%
$5,000,001 - $10,000,000 1.50%
$10,000,001 and above Negotiable
The annual fees are negotiable, pro-rated and paid in arrears on a monthly basis. FC reserves the right
(but is not obligated) to assess a lower fee to those Clients who had engaged the Firm prior to October 1,
2025. The advisory fee is a tiered fee and is calculated by assessing the percentage rates using the
predefined levels of assets as shown in the above chart and applying the fee to the average daily balance
over the previous month. For example, an account valued at $2,000,000 would pay an effective fee of
1.50% with the annual fee of $30,000. The monthly fee is determined by the following calculation:
($2,000,000 x 1.50%) ÷ 12 = $2,500. No increase in the annual fee shall be effective without agreement
from the Client by signing a new agreement or amendment to their current advisory agreement.
We calculate period-end account values after all dividends settle in the account, therefore, the account
value used to calculate advisory fees may differ from that of the custodial account statement. Our billing
invoice will indicate the total account value used to calculate the advisory fee.
Advisory fees are directly debited from Client accounts, or the Client may choose to pay by credit card.
FC utilizes Advice Pay, a third-party payment processor, as to not maintain clients’ credit card
information.
Accounts initiated or terminated during a calendar month will be charged a pro-rated fee based on the
amount of time remaining in the billing period. An account may be terminated with written notice at
least 15 calendar days in advance. Since fees are paid in arrears, no refund will be needed upon the
termination of the account.
FC Model Portfolios
FC will be paid an annual fee of 15 Basis Points (.15%) on the assets being managed in each FC Model
Portfolio. Fees are paid monthly, in arrears of each calendar month, pursuant to the terms of the
investment advisory agreement. For any partial period, fees will be appropriately pro-rated based on the
number of calendar days in the partial month and charged at the next billing period.
FC will consider a client’s risk tolerance, investment objectives and goals, time horizon, account
restrictions, personal circumstances and overall financial situation prior to recommending an FC Model
Portfolio. Each Model Portfolio is designed to meet specific goals and objectives. Additionally, client has
the opportunity to place reasonable restrictions on the types of investments to be held in the portfolio.
When an Outside Manager is used, the FC will debit the Client’s account for both the Outside Manager’s
fee, and FC’s advisory fee, and will remit the Outside Manager’s fee to the Outside Manager. Please
note, the above fee schedule does include the Outside Manager’s fee. Total fees charged will not exceed
3% of the client’s total AUM.
Ongoing Financial Planning
Ongoing Financial Planning consists of an upfront charge of $1,000 and an ongoing fee that is paid
monthly, in arrears, at the rate of $250 per month. The fee may be negotiable based on client
complexity. Complexity factors examples include ongoing trusts, businesses, rental properties, and
limited partnerships. Fees for this service may be paid by electronic funds transfer or credit card. This
service may be terminated with 30 days’ notice and any applicable refunds will be delivered in a timely
manner (within 30 business days). Upon termination of any agreement, the fee will be prorated and any
unearned fee will be refunded to the Client.
The upfront portion of the Comprehensive Financial Planning fee is for Client onboarding, data gathering,
and setting the basis for the financial plan. This work will commence immediately after the fee is paid,
and the initial financial plan will be completed within the first 30 days of the date the fee is paid.
Therefore, the upfront portion of the fee will not be paid more than 6 months in advance.
Project Based Financial Planning Fixed Fee
Financial Planning will generally be offered on a fixed fee basis. The fixed fee will be agreed upon before
the start of any work. The fixed fee can range between $2,000 and $10,000 depending on the project’s
complexity. The fee is negotiable based on client complexity. If a fixed fee program is chosen, half of the
fee is due at the beginning of the process and the remainder is due upon completion of work, however,
FC will not bill an amount above $500.00 more than 6 months in advance. Fees for this service may be
paid by electronic funds transfer or credit card. In the event of early termination any prepaid but
unearned fees will be refunded to the Client within 30 business days and any completed deliverables of
the project will be provided to the Client and no further fees will be charged.
Financial Planning Hourly Fee
Hourly Financial Planning engagements are offered at an hourly rate of $300 per hour. The fee may be
