Item 5: Fees and Compensation
Please note, unless a Client has received this brochure at least 48 hours prior to signing an Advisory Contract, the
Advisory Contract may be terminated by the Client within five (5) business days of signing the Advisory Contract
without penalty.
How we are paid depends on the type of advisory services we perform. Below is a brief description of our fees,
however, you should review your executed Advisory Contract for more detailed information regarding the exact
fees you will be paying. No increase to the agreed-upon advisory fees outlined in the Advisory Contract shall occur
without prior Client consent. Please note, lower fees for comparable services may be available from other sources.
Investment Management Services/Wealth Management Services
The negotiable fee is $100-150/hour and is paid upon completion (in arrears) semi-annually. Hours can be reserved
(scheduled) for annual investment management/wealth management services as outlined below, with a minimum
of 12 hours per year (1 hour per month):

1000 hours per year (4 hours per workday @ $100/hour) $100,000
Additional hours (client approved) within any tier $100/hour
The annual advisory fee is paid semi-annually in arrears based on the actual hours within the period used by the
Client. The advisor will not bill more than the reserved hours without prior client approval.
Fee examples:
A client that reserves 12 hours per year (1 hour per month @ $150/hour) and adds an additional hour during
the year, the client would pay $1,900 for the year ($1,800 + $100).
A client that reserves 52 hours per year (1 hour per work week @ $125/hour) and utilizes 10 hours less than
the reservation, the client would pay $5,250 for the year ($6,500 - $1,250).
Investment Management Services/Wealth Management Services clients will be assessed fees based on actual
hours of services received, including for any partial billing periods occurring during the engagement, including
the initial and terminating billing periods. Hours reserved should reflect a mutually agreeable best estimate of the
time required to provide services to you.
Ongoing Financial Planning
JVM charges either a fixed or hourly fee for Ongoing Financial Planning. Fixed fee rates range between $500 to
$50,000. Our hourly rate is $100 to $150/hour. The fee range is dependent upon variables including the specific
needs of the Client, complexity, estimated time, research, and resources required to provide services to you, among
other factors we deem relevant. Fees are negotiable and the final agreed upon fee will be outlined in your Advisory
Contract.
Project-Based Financial Planning
JVM charges either a fixed or hourly fee for Project-Based Financial Planning. Fixed fee rates range between $500
to $50,000. Our hourly rate is $100 to $150/hour.
The fee range is dependent upon variables including the specific needs of the Client, complexity, estimated time,
research, and resources required to provide services to you, among other factors we deem relevant. Fees are
negotiable and the final agreed upon fee will be outlined in your Advisory Contract. Fees are due upon completion
of the services. JVM will not bill an amount above $1,200 more than 6 months or more in advance of rendering the
services.
Retirement Plan Consulting/Management
The negotiable fee is $100-150/hour and is paid upon completion (in arrears) semi-annually. Hours can be reserved
(scheduled) for annual Retirement Plan Consulting/Management as outlined below, with a minimum of 12 hours
per year (1 hour per month):
