Fees and Compensation — Form ADV Part 2A (3/25/2026) [Brochure]
Item 5: Fees and Compensation
Portfolio Management Services
SSIS typically charges an annual fee of 1.00% of the assets under management for its portfolio
management services. These fees are billed either on a monthly or a quarterly basis.
Fees are either billed quarterly in advance or monthly in arrears. The advisory fee is calculated using
the value of the assets in the Account on the last business day of the prior billing period. These fees are
negotiable, and the final fee schedule will be memorialized in the client’s advisory agreement. Clients
may terminate the agreement without penalty for a full refund of SSIS's fees within five business days
of signing the Advisory Services Agreement. Thereafter, clients may terminate the Advisory Services
Agreement generally with 7 days' written notice. Upon termination, any unearned asset-based fees paid
in advance will be refunded. The fee refunded will be equal to the balance of the fees collected in
advance minus the daily rate* times the number of days elapsed in the billing period up to and including
the day of termination. (*The daily rate is calculated by dividing the annual asset-based fee rate by
365.)
SSIS is authorized to withdraw management fees directly from the Account on a monthly or quarterly basis.

Selection of Other Advisers

SSIS generally directs clients to third-party investment advisers. SSIS will receive its fee on top of the
fee paid to the third-party adviser. The fees are generally negotiable and will not exceed any limit
imposed by any regulatory agency. The notice of termination requirement and payment of fees for third-
party investment advisers will depend on the specific third-party adviser selected.

Financial Planning Fees – Fixed Fees
The rate for creating client financial plans is between $0 to $5000. The fee is based on the complexity of the
relationship and the scope of planning services selected by the client. The fees are negotiable, and the final fee
schedule will be attached as Exhibit II of the Advisory Services Agreement.

Payment of Fees
Payment of Portfolio Management Fees
Asset-based portfolio management fees are withdrawn directly from the client's accounts monthly or
quarterly, with client's written authorization. Fees are either paid in advance or in arrears depending on the
program memorialized in the client agreement.
For fees deducted directly from client accounts, SSIS will:
(A) Possess written authorization from the client to deduct advisory fees from an account held by a
     custodian.
(B) Send the custodian written notice of the amount of the fee to be deducted from the client’s account
and verify that the custodian sends invoices to the client.

(C) In states that require it, send the client a written invoice itemizing the fee at the same time or prior
to fee deduction, including the formula used to calculate the fee, the time period covered by the fee
and the amount of assets under management on which the fee was based.

Payment of Selection of Other Advisers Fees
Depending upon the selected third-party adviser, fees are paid quarterly in advance or monthly in arrears.
Typically, the third-party advisers’ fees are calculated and withdrawn by the manager directly from client
accounts. SSIS then receives its portion of the fees from the third-party advisor. The structure of the third-
party adviser relationship will determine if SSIS directly deducts the advisory fees from client accounts.

Payment of Financial Planning Fees
Fixed Financial Planning fees are paid via check or by credit card. Fees are paid in advance. Financial
plans are completed and delivered within 6 months of initiating financial planning services.

Client Responsibility for Third Party Fees
Clients are responsible for the payment of all third-party fees (i.e. custodian fees, brokerage fees, mutual
fund fees, transaction fees, etc.). Those fees are separate and distinct from the fees and expenses charged
by SSIS. Please see Item 12 of this brochure regarding broker-dealer/custodian.

Prepayment of Fees
SSIS collects fees in advance. Refunds for fees paid in advance but not yet earned will be refunded on a
prorated basis and returned within fourteen days to the client via check or return deposit back into the
client’s account.
For all asset-based fees paid in advance, the fee refunded will be equal to the balance of the fees
collected in advance minus the daily rate* times the number of days elapsed in the billing period up to
and including the day of termination. (*The daily rate is calculated by dividing the annual asset-based
fee rate by 365.)
Outside Compensation for the Sale of Securities or Investment Products to Clients
Supervised persons of SSIS, in their outside business activities (see Item 10 below), are licensed to
accept compensation for the sale of insurance products to SSIS clients. This presents a conflict of
interest and gives the supervised person an incentive to recommend products based on the compensation
received rather than on the client’s needs. Clients always have the right to decide whether to purchase
SSIS-recommended products and, if purchasing, have the right to purchase those products through other
agents that are not affiliated with SSIS.
While SSIS itself does not receive commissions, its supervised persons receive commission on insurance
products as licensed insurance agents. The commissions earned on the sale of insurance products by
supervised persons of SSIS may exceed the investment advisory fees earned by SSIS. Advisory fees that

are charged to clients are not reduced to offset the commissions on insurance products recommended to
clients.
