Item 5: Fees and Compensation
Overview
An ongoing fee is charged to clients who require ongoing service, such as for Comprehensive
Financial Planning with Investment Management. No increase in the fee shall be effective without the
client signing a new agreement or amendment to their current agreement.
The fee is paid by the client authorizing the firm to bill the client’s investment account, bank account,
or credit card. For clients who pay via their bank account or credit card, an electronic payment
processing system encrypts the client’s financial information. Upon payment, the client will receive an
email receipt. The client is encouraged to verify these email receipts with their statements.
After execution of the client agreement, the client may terminate the agreement within five (5)
business days and receive a full refund of any fees paid. Following this initial rescission period, due to
the volume and intensity of work performed in the first year of engagement, fees paid for our services
are non-refundable if the agreement is terminated during the first year of service. After the first year
of the engagement, either party may terminate the agreement upon thirty (30) days’ written notice.
Upon termination after the first year, any unearned fees paid in advance will be prorated and
refunded to the client.
YFP, at its discretion, may charge a lesser advisory or initial fee, charge a flat fee, waive its fee entirely,
or charge a fee on a different interval, based upon certain criteria. YFP may offer discounted initial
planning fees to current members of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA). Eligibility may
require verification of membership status and any such discount is determined by YFP and may be
modified or discontinued at any time. Clients receiving a discount receive the same advisory services
as clients who do not receive a discount.
Some legacy clients may pay a lower fee. As a result, similarly situated clients could pay different
fees. Note: YFP fees may be more than the industry norm. Similar advisory services can be obtained
for less.
