Item 5: Fees and Compensation
A. Fee Schedule
Portfolio Management Fees
Total Assets Under Management Annual Fees %
All Assets 0.25 to 1.50%
Clients will always be provided with the total fee that will be paid and the entities that are
compensated. For example, if a client has $1,000,000 under DWP’s management and it is determined
that a third- party money manager’s models are in the best interest of the client, the fees will be broken
down and explained to each client, the fee to DWP plus the fee to the money manager equaling the
final cost to client.
DWP’s fees are paid monthly in arrears, at month end either based on average daily balance or month
end values provided by custodian, if applicable pro-rated based on number of days the funds are
in the accounts. The advisory fee for each monthly invoice is calculated using the aggregate value of
the asset in all household accounts advised by DWP as set forth in within the Advisory Agreement (as
amended from time to time).
These fees are generally negotiable, and the final fee schedule will be memorialized in the client’s
advisory agreement. The Portfolio Management fees will vary depending upon the services provided,
the addition of a third-party money manager, or a subadvisor agreement. Clients may terminate the
agreement without penalty for a full refund of DWP's fees within five business days of signing the
Investment Advisory Contract. Thereafter, clients may terminate the Investment Advisory Contract
immediately upon written notice.
Selection of Other Advisors Fees
DWP will receive a fee not to exceed 1.50% of assets held under management, when applicable a third-
party investment management fee may be assessed according to the third-party investment manager
agreement. This relationship will be memorialized in each contract between DWP and each third-party
advisor. The client will not pay fees that exceed any limit imposed by any regulatory agency.
Specifically, DWP may direct clients to a third-party investment manager. All third-party fees are paid
in accordance with the specific third-party investment manager or sub- advisor agreements. When
clients enter into DWP’s Investment Advisor Contract all fees associated with a third-party
arrangement are disclosed.
Fees are paid in arrears and are automatically drawn from the client accounts on a quarterly or
monthly basis based upon the sub-advisor relationship. The advisory fee is calculated using the value
of the assets in the account on the last business day of the prior billing period or average daily balance
depending on third-party agreement. If a client opens an account a certain number of days before the
end of the month, the Custodian will prorate the fees from the start of the management of funds in the
account. These fees are negotiable.
Pension Consulting Fees
Total Assets Annual Fee
All Assets 1.00%*
* There is a one-time implementation fee of up to $2,000 for any plan brought under DWP.
DWP receives pension consulting fees on either a monthly or quarterly basis in arrears. These fees are
negotiable, and the final fee schedule will be disclosed in the client’s pension consulting agreement.
Clients may terminate the pension consulting agreement without penalty for a full refund of DWP's
fees within five business days of signing the pension consulting agreement. Thereafter, Clients may
terminate the pension consulting agreement generally with 30 days' written notice.
Financial Planning Fees
The negotiated fixed rate or hourly rate for creating client financial plans will be determined between
the client and the financial advisor that is creating the plans and will be based upon the complexity of
the plan, and the estimated amount of time for the creation of the plan. A client’s fee depends on the
services that the client requests. All fixed fees for financial planning begin at $199 and range up to $
4,999. The fee agreement will be attached to the Financial Planning Agreement.
The negotiated hourly fee for financial planning services will be memorialized in our Financial
Planning Agreement. These negotiated fees can range from $100 to $400 an hour depending upon the
complexity of the plan.
The financial plan services that can be included and can be attributable to a higher cost are the
following, cash flow planning, determining insurance gaps, tax complexities, retirement planning,
college planning, debt and credit planning, liquidation strategy, budgeting and debt considerations,
coordinate with business planning and business succession planning, estate planning. It is anticipated
that each financial planning service listed above will take approximately 2 – 4 hours of financial
planning services. For example, if a client requested a financial plan to include retirement planning,
investment planning and life insurance our time could be 6 to 12 hours. A comprehensive financial
plan typically takes a minimum of 20 hours to build.
Clients may terminate the agreement without penalty, for a full refund of DWP’s fees, within five business
days of signing the Financial Planning Agreement. Thereafter, clients may terminate the Financial Planning
Agreement generally upon written notice.
